Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query under its own policy. Grundy County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Every time a page on this site loads, our servers pick up some technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies on this site. These are small files stored on your device that let us see how visitors use the site - which pages get the most traffic and where people tend to drop off. Analytics services help us aggregate that traffic data. Your browser settings let you block cookies whenever you want. Some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Grundy County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of personal case information or official court dockets. It publishes directions to the Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, Tennessee appellate search, and other custodians. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party case file, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's privacy terms rather than this policy. Because each partner decides how long to retain data and when to disclose it, review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court clerks, Tennessee court portals, legal-aid resources, or commercial search providers. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Check it before providing personal information.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for information within our control. No internet service can promise absolute protection, however, and this policy does not guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights based on residence. The Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 govern access to qualifying government and court records, not private visitor data held by this site. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as services or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date, which identifies the policy currently in force.
